Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to identify the alcoholic inpatienfs psychological state.
The data were collected from unstructured interviews with 15 alcoholic inpatients. They were audio—recorded and analyzed Van Kaam’s method.
The results are as follow;
1. Patients ascribed expectancies extracted were that alcohol transforms experiences in a positive way; the first, to enhance social pleasure, second, to relax and reduce tension, third, to increase power and aggression, fourth, to increase social assertiveness. 2. Patients ascribed psychological states identified during alcohol drinking, the first, to enhance pleasure, second, to relax and reduce tension, third, to increase power and aggression. fourth, to increase social assertiveness.
3. Patients ascribed psychological states identified when they are awaken from alcohol drinking, regret and determination, anxiety, apathy.
4. Patients ascribed motivations to heavy drinking identified anger, social situation, fear.
5. Patients ascribed psychological states of presence identified wish, despair, self accu sation, anxiety.
6. Patients ascribed psychological state about family identified, only guilty.
I suggest to study about finding the nursing diagnosis and related factor, and nursing plan re lated to psychological state of alcoholic inpatients based on these results. |
